Kyoko Matsumoto Wright

Kyoko Matsumoto Wright has served on the Mountlake Terrace City Council since her appointment in January 2008 and has been a resident since 1984. She is currently serving her third term as Mayor, a position she first assumed in 2018 after the death of Mayor Jerry Smith. Prior to her council service, she was on the Mountlake Terrace Planning Commission for five years. Wright is a Realtor with Coldwell Banker Bain and a graduate of the University of Washington with a BA in Drama. She has served on numerous boards, including the Housing Authority of Snohomish County and the Washington State Real Estate Commission.
