LaMonica R. McIver is an American politician serving as the U.S. Representative for New Jersey's 10th congressional district since September 2024. She is the first Black woman to represent the district and the youngest person elected to Congress from New Jersey. Previously, McIver served on the Newark Municipal Council from 2018 to 2024, including a tenure as council president. She has a background in education human resources and founded the youth mentoring nonprofit Newark G.A.L.S., Inc.
