Lance Brender is a retired U.S. Army officer with two decades of service, including a tour in Iraq where he earned a Bronze Star and a Purple Heart. He has lived in Tumwater since 2017 and is a second-generation owner of his family's orchard in Cashmere, WA. Brender is also a local housing provider. His education includes a bachelor's of business administration from Pacific Lutheran University and a master's of military arts and sciences from the US Army Command and General Staff College. He also served as a post-graduate researcher at the University of Oxford.
