Larry C. Porter is a Republican County Commissioner for Caroline County, Maryland. First elected to the Board of County Commissioners in 2010, he has served multiple terms as President and Vice President and is running as an incumbent in 2026. Before his tenure as commissioner, Porter served as the Mayor of Denton in 1991 and as a Denton Town Council member. He is the retired president of Cabell Corporation, a local real estate development firm. A lifelong Caroline County resident, he holds an A.A. from Chesapeake College and attended Salisbury University. He is a life member of the Denton Volunteer Fire Company.
