Larry W. Potts

Larry W. Potts was born in Davidson County, North Carolina, on September 14, 1948. He served in the United States Air Force for four years and attended Davidson County Community College and Spokane Community College. Before his election to the NC House in 2016, Potts served as a Davidson County Commissioner for nearly 21 years. He has also served on the Davidson County Board of Social Services and as Chairman of the NC Social Services Commission. Potts is the president and owner of Southland Construction Company and president of Davidson Investment Group. He is a member of various organizations, including the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the Disabled American Veterans.
