Dr. LaShae Sharp-Collins represents the 79th District in the California State Assembly, assuming office in December 2024. A San Diego native, she earned her bachelor's, master's, and doctorate degrees from San Diego State University. Prior to her election, she worked as a Community Engagement Specialist for the San Diego County Office of Education, served as District Director for former Assemblymember Shirley Weber, and taught as an adjunct professor at SDSU.
