LaTrisha Suggs

LaTrisha Suggs is an enrolled member of the Jamestown S'Klallam Tribe and was the first Native American to serve on the Port Angeles City Council. She has lived in Port Angeles for over 50 years, graduating from Port Angeles High School, Peninsula College, and Western Washington University's Huxley College with a degree in Environmental Policy/Planning. Her professional background is in environmental planning, including roles as a Restoration Planner for the Jamestown S'Klallam Tribe and Assistant Director for the Elwha River Restoration Office for the Lower Elwha Klallam Tribe. She was first appointed to the council in 2020.
