Laura Gillen is the U.S. Representative for New York's 4th Congressional District, assuming office in January 2025. A native of Baldwin and resident of Rockville Centre, Gillen previously served as the Town Supervisor of Hempstead, New York, where she was the first Democrat elected to the position in 112 years. She holds degrees from Georgetown University and the New York University School of Law, and previously worked as a commercial litigator and an adjunct law professor.
