Lauren Wylie McDonald III, a Republican incumbent for Georgia House District 26, was born August 10, 1968, in Commerce and lives in Cumming. A University of Georgia alumnus, he is married with three children. Professionally, he has over 20 years as an EMT and firefighter in Forsyth County and works as a funeral director since 1997. McDonald served 15 years as Forsyth County Coroner before his State House tenure began in January 2021.
