Laurie Osher, a Democratic State Representative for Maine, was born on June 8, 1960. She moved to Maine in 1999 to join the University of Maine faculty and later served on the Orono town council before her election to the Maine House of Representatives in 2020. Representing District 25, she has been active in legislative efforts, cosponsoring bills related to equal rights, STEM education, a legislative internship program, and supplemental security income. She also supported a stewardship program for electronic smoking devices. With a background as a Community Resilience Specialist and Climate Resilience & Energy Efficiency Consultant, Osher demonstrates a commitment to environmental and community-focused policy.
