Leila Ann Staton

Leila Ann Staton is a 21-year-old Democratic candidate for the Iowa House of Representatives, District 54. A Dike-New Hartford High School graduate and former legal assistant, she is a child sexual assault advocate, women’s health advocate, and community organizer residing in Stout. Staton is running to be a voice for all Iowans, believing current representatives prioritize political ideology over constituents. Her priorities include eliminating private school vouchers, stopping eminent domain abuse, expanding affordable rural healthcare (including OB-GYN), making housing affordable, supporting public schools, and protecting family farms. She relies on grassroots contributions, not corporate PAC donations.
