Leon Howard is an experienced Democratic politician representing District 76 in the South Carolina House of Representatives since 1994. An automotive businessman, he is the President and CEO of Howard's Garage, Paint and Body Shop, and Wrecker Service. He holds an A.D. from Midlands Technical College. Howard has chaired the Medical, Military, Public and Municipal Affairs Committee for many years and currently serves on the Ways and Means Committee. He also chairs the Richland County Legislative Delegation. A strong advocate for healthcare reform, Howard supports Medicare for All, emphasizing that healthcare is a right. He is running for re-election in 2026.
