Lesli D. Harris

Lesli Harris is the incumbent Councilmember for New Orleans City Council District B, having assumed office on January 10, 2022. Before her election, she served as the Chief of Staff and Executive Counsel at Loyola University New Orleans. Harris has an extensive legal background, having been the second Black woman to become a partner at the Stone Pigman Walther Wittmann law firm, where she specialized in commercial litigation, entertainment, and intellectual property law. Her legal career also includes working at NBCUniversal and representing clients such as the New Orleans Saints and Pelicans. She earned a B.A. from the University of Virginia, a J.D. from Tulane Law School, and an LL.M. in Trade Regulation from New York University School of Law. As a resident of Central City, she is involved in numerous community boards.
