Lilisa Mimms is the current President of the Paterson City Council. She was first elected to an at-large seat in the general election on May 8, 2018. Prior to her role on the city council, Mimms served as an at-large member of the Paterson Public Schools school board from 2014 to 2017. She has also served as a pastor with New Beginnings Christian Outreach Ministries.
