Lisa Callan is a Democratic incumbent State Representative for Washington's 5th Legislative District, proudly serving areas like Issaquah, Snoqualmie, and Maple Valley since taking office in 2019. She holds a bachelor's degree in mathematics and computer science from Northern Arizona University. Before her legislative career, Callan worked as an engineer at Boeing, a software developer, and served on the Issaquah School Board. In her current role, she is Vice Chair of the House Capital Budget Committee, focusing on investments in construction and infrastructure. Additionally, she co-chairs the Children & Youth Behavioral Health Work Group, championing policies for mental health, substance use, and suicide prevention for young people. Callan is an active advocate for Washington families, schools, youth, and community investment.
