Lisa E. Yates

Lisa E. Yates is a Democratic candidate seeking re-election as the Clerk of the Circuit Court for Charles County, Maryland. A lifelong resident of the county, she was born in 1979 and attended La Plata High School. Yates earned an Associate of Arts degree in computer science from the College of Southern Maryland in 2003. She brings extensive experience to the office, having worked in the Charles County Clerk's Office as a Deputy Clerk and Lead Land Records Clerk before becoming the Clerk of the Circuit Court in December 2022. Outside of her professional duties, Yates is a longtime volunteer with the Newburg Volunteer Rescue Squad and Fire Department.
