In August 2024, she was appointed Executive Director of the Washington State LGBTQ Commission. Keating is also an LGBTQ youth and family advocate and a credentialed DEI facilitator, focusing on topics like LGBTQ safety and inclusion, anti-racism, and anti-bullying.
