Lisa Keating is a lifelong resident of Tacoma and was elected to the Tacoma School Board in November 2019. She is the parent of a Tacoma Public Schools graduate. In August 2024, she was appointed Executive Director of the Washington State LGBTQ Commission. Keating is also an LGBTQ youth and family advocate and a credentialed DEI facilitator, focusing on topics like LGBTQ safety and inclusion, anti-racism, and anti-bullying. She developed a leadership program for elementary and middle school students.
