She holds an Associate of Arts degree from Grays Harbor College and a Bachelor of Arts in technical writing from Eastern Washington University. Scott was appointed to the City Council in February 2021 to fill a vacancy before being elected to the position. She has also served on several boards and is a past president of the Grays Harbor United Way board.
