Lori Mercer is the incumbent for Director of District 3 and serves as the Vice-Chair. She grew up on a farm in the Mesa area and is an alumna of the Connell school system, including Connell Elementary, Olds Junior High, and Connell High School. Mercer graduated from Eastern Washington University with a degree in Dental Hygiene, a profession she practiced for 30 years. After living away from the area for about two decades, she returned in 2009 to be closer to family. She and her husband, Jason, have two children who attend school in the district. Mercer also runs a home-based business, Park Lane Jewelry, and volunteers as the beef superintendent at the Columbia Basin Junior Livestock Show.
