Lyn Hellegaard, born Darrellyn Bingham in Moab, Utah in 1958, is a Montana Republican. A conservative leader, she has experience as a business owner, banker, and city councilperson. Hellegaard previously represented House District 97 in the Montana Legislature from 2023 to 2025, serving on the House and Joint Appropriations committees. She has sponsored legislation focused on election integrity, veteran assistance, and local government. Hellegaard believes parents should be the primary voice in education and advocates for reducing regulation and taxes to foster economic growth and good-paying jobs in Montana. She is running to address rising costs for Montana families, cut government waste, and curb what she sees as excessive government control and spending.
