Lynden P. Smithson

Lynden P. Smithson has over 25 years of experience as a lawyer. He graduated from the University of Washington with a political science degree in 1995 and from Gonzaga School of Law in 1998. For over two decades, he has worked for the City of Spokane in various legal roles, including leading the Domestic Violence Unit, serving as Chief Assistant City Prosecutor, and most recently as Spokane's City Attorney under former Mayor Nadine Woodward. His experience also includes criminal defense and civil litigation. He ran unsuccessfully for Spokane County District Court in 2018.
