Lynn Melton is an incumbent Democratic member of the Kansas House of Representatives, representing District 36 since January 2023. She is seeking re-election in the 2026 Democratic primary. Melton brings over three decades of experience in the financial industry, where she owned and operated a mortgage brokerage company. Prior to her legislative service, she worked as an Assistant to the Mayor of Kansas City, Kansas, and Wyandotte County. A graduate of Turner High School, she also currently serves as the Director of Operations for the Police Athletic League of KCKS.
