Maja Tamara Moore

Maja Moore, a Democratic candidate for the South Carolina House of Representatives District 122, is a Lowcountry native, born and raised in Hampton. An IT professional and a veteran with over 20 years of service in the U.S. Army Reserve, she also worked for 15 years as a respiratory therapist. Inspired by her parents, a civil rights activist and an educator, Moore is dedicated to serving her community. She advocates for lowering costs for working families, creating good-paying jobs, ensuring quality public schools, and expanding access to affordable healthcare. Moore aims to address neglected roads, struggling schools, and scarce opportunities in the Hampton, Jasper, Colleton, and Beaufort areas, striving to make District 122 a thriving home for all.
