Mana H. Abdi is a Somali-American politician and an incumbent member of the Maine House of Representatives, representing District 95 in Lewiston. Born in Kenya in 1995, she arrived in the U.S. as a refugee at age 11 and later moved to Lewiston at 13. Abdi graduated from Lewiston High School and the University of Maine at Farmington, making history as the first Somali-American elected to the Maine Legislature. She is a member of the Criminal Justice and Public Safety Committee. Abdi is a candidate for the Maine State Senate in District 21, advocating for civil rights, community-centered public safety, a robust economy, strong public education, affordable healthcare, and accessible housing for working families.
