With a background as a Senior Deputy Prosecuting Attorney for King County, she specialized in therapeutic alternatives, creating crisis intervention training for law enforcement. Dhingra co-founded API Chaya, an organization aiding survivors of domestic violence and trafficking, and serves on boards for NAMI Eastside and Hopelink. She is a recipient of multiple awards, including the Jacob K Javits Public Service Award and Behavioral Health Champion.
