Manka Dhingra

Manka Dhingra serves as the State Senator for Washington's 45th legislative district and is the Deputy Majority Leader of the Senate. She chairs the Law & Justice committee and is a member of the Behavioral Health subcommittee and Ways & Means committee. With a background as a Senior Deputy Prosecuting Attorney for King County, she specialized in therapeutic alternatives, creating crisis intervention training for law enforcement. Dhingra co-founded API Chaya, an organization aiding survivors of domestic violence and trafficking, and serves on boards for NAMI Eastside and Hopelink. She is a recipient of multiple awards, including the Jacob K Javits Public Service Award and Behavioral Health Champion.
