Marcus Young, Sr. is the current Vice President of the Bethel School District Board of Directors, representing District 1. He was appointed in May 2018 and his current term expires in November 2025. He holds a Doctorate of Divinity from St. Thomas Christian University and an Associate of Theology from A.L. Hardy Academy of Theology. A Tacoma native, he has focused on developing youth programs and has a background in school security from his decade of work with the Tacoma School District. He and his wife have a blended family of seven children, including two foster children.
