Maren Halvorsen is a lifelong educator who was appointed to the Sequim School Board in February 2022. For over 30 years, she taught history at the University of Washington's Robinson Center Early Entrance Program, where she eventually became the Principal and Associate Director of the Center before retiring in 2018. She grew up in the small town of Burns, Oregon. Her son is a math teacher in Seattle.
