Mari Leavitt, a Democratic member of the Washington House of Representatives, currently represents District 28-Position 1 and serves as Deputy Majority Whip. Leavitt holds an associate degree from Tacoma Community College, bachelor's and master's degrees from Western Washington University, and a PhD from Oregon State University.
