Maria Orms, a U.S. Air Force veteran, technologist, and community advocate, is a Republican candidate for Governor of Colorado in the 2026 election. She served in the Air Force from 1988 to 1994, securing top-secret military communications systems worldwide. Orms holds two Master's degrees, one in Engineering and another in Cybersecurity, from the University of Colorado - Boulder and the University of Denver, respectively. She is a mother of two daughters, both of whom have served or are serving in the U.S. Air Force, and resides in Parker, Douglas County. Her campaign, centered on safeguarding Colorado, prioritizes freedom, safety and security, a digital bill of rights, government accountability and transparency, and individual homeownership with fair and legal taxes, aiming to improve the quality of life for all Coloradans.
