Mark A. Behnke is the Mayor of Battle Creek, Michigan, and a long-serving member of the Battle Creek City Commission. He previously served as the city's mayor in 2000 and in 2007, was first elected to the City Commission on November 5, 1991, and was re-elected as mayor on November 5, 2024. A strong believer in responsive and transparent city government, his focus includes working with the schools and strengthening the city's neighborhoods to attract new business and home investment. He is the founder of Behnke Transport, a small business owner, and a 1980 graduate of Saint Joseph's College in Rensselaer, Indiana. He is married to Gerardyne M. (Geri) Drozdowski, and they have two children.
