Mark Bitz is a retired public school teacher and engineer. He worked at Hewlett-Packard from 1981 to 2009 in various roles, including as a patented inventor. From 2010 to 2023, he was a teacher, including 10 years as a manufacturing, engineering, and physics teacher at Spokane Valley Tech. He was named the Central Valley School District Educator of the Year in 2023. He earned a bachelor's in mechanical engineering from Montana State University in 1981. He has been a resident of Liberty Lake for 40 years and has two children who graduated from the district.
