Mark Finchem

Mark Finchem is an incumbent Arizona State Senator representing District 1. A Republican, he serves on the Federalism, Appropriations, Public Safety, and Judiciary & Elections committees. Finchem previously served in the Arizona House of Representatives from 2015 to 2023. His professional background includes 21 years with the Kalamazoo, MI, Department of Public Safety, first as a firefighter/paramedic, then as a law enforcement officer. He holds degrees from Grand Canyon University and the University of Arizona. Finchem ran for Arizona Secretary of State in 2022 and is now seeking re-election to the State Senate. He is associated with the Coalition of Western States and the Election Fairness Institute.
