Mark James is a U.S. Army veteran and has been a Marysville business owner since 2004. He was elected to the Marysville City Council in 2018 and is seeking his third term. He has served on the Marysville Fire Board, the Snohomish County Planning Commission, and various other community committees. He holds an Advanced Certificate of Municipal Leadership from the Association of Washington Cities. He and his wife, Renae, have three sons who are all County Sheriff Deputies.
