Marko Liias

Marko Liias is an incumbent Democratic State Senator for Washington's 21st Legislative District, covering areas like Edmonds, Everett, Lynnwood, and Mukilteo. He assumed his Senate seat in 2014, after serving in the Washington House of Representatives from 2008-2014. Senator Liias is seeking re-election in the August 4, 2026 primary. As Chair of the Senate Transportation Committee, his legislative priorities include making Washington more affordable through a fairer tax system, capping rent/insulin costs, and expanding senior property tax relief.
