Martin Mitchell

Martin Mitchell is a Democratic candidate for Prince George's County Council in District 1. A native of Prince George's County and a Laurel resident, he is a graduate of Laurel High School and Bowie State University, holding a degree in Political Science. Mitchell previously served as an At-Large member of the Laurel City Council, where he was elected in 2021. Professionally, he works as a politics and public affairs consultant. His campaign focuses on community-centered solutions, including advocating for affordable housing, supporting working families, and investing in public safety. He is a father to twin sons.
