Martin Moore

Martin Moore is a Buncombe County Commissioner, attorney, and mediator. He is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the UNC School of Law. Moore began his legal career as a public defender in Buncombe County and later worked in private practice at Van Winkle, Buck, Wall, Starnes & Davis, P.A. before opening his own mediation and appellate law practice. As a County Commissioner, he has focused on early childhood education, affordable housing, and racial justice initiatives. He has over a decade of experience in civil, criminal, and appellate courts.
