Martin Smithmyer is a businessman and the founder and CEO of Americord Registry, a private cord blood and tissue banking company established in 2008. Prior to founding Americord, he served as Vice President of Healthcare Investment Banking at BMO Capital Markets. He holds a bachelor's degree in biology from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, and an MBA from American University. He is running as a Republican candidate to represent New York's 4th Congressional District in the U.S. House.
