Mary Beth Carozza

Mary Beth Carozza is a Republican politician representing District 38 in the Maryland State Senate, a position she has held since 2019. Her public service began in the Maryland House of Delegates, where she represented District 38C from 2015 to 2019. A Baltimore native, Carozza holds a bachelor's degree in political philosophy and a master's degree in American government, both from The Catholic University of America. Before her election to state office, her career included experience as a congressional staffer and as a deputy chief of staff to former Maryland Governor Bob Ehrlich. She also served as deputy assistant secretary of defense for legislative affairs under Secretary Donald Rumsfeld.
