Mary Kelly is an incumbent judge for the Superior Court of Los Angeles County in California, a position she has held since being appointed by Governor Jerry Brown in 2018. Her current term is set to end on January 4, 2027. Prior to her judicial appointment, Kelly served as an administrative law judge for the California Unemployment Insurance Appeals Board from 2004 to 2018. She was also an assistant federal public defender and supervising trial attorney from 1995 to 2004. Her legal career began after she earned a B.S. in nursing from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a J.D. from DePaul University College of Law.
