Matt Goering has served on the Everson City Council since 2018. He is also the owner of Herb Niemann's Steakhouse in Everson. Originally from Kansas, where his father also owned a steakhouse, Goering moved to Everson and initially owned a commercial construction cleaning business. After the economy shifted, he returned to the restaurant industry, starting as a server at Herb Niemann's before becoming a manager and eventually purchasing the establishment. He is an active member of the community, having hosted fundraisers for local law enforcement.
