Matt Johnston

Matt Johnston is a Democratic candidate for the Maryland House of Delegates, representing Legislative District 30B. His professional career has been centered on environmental advocacy and policy, particularly for the communities within South County. Currently, he serves as the Executive Director of the Arundel Rivers Federation. His prior experience includes serving as the inaugural Environmental Policy Director for Anne Arundel County, a role in which he spearheaded key efforts related to forest conservation and stormwater management. Johnston also worked as a Senior Policy Analyst at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's Chesapeake Bay Program and was a faculty member at the University of Maryland. He earned a Master of Public Affairs from Indiana University.
