Matthew M. Longjohn is an American physician and politician serving as a member of the Michigan House of Representatives for the 40th district since 2025. A member of the Democratic Party, he previously ran as the Democratic nominee for Michigan's 6th congressional district in 2018. Longjohn is a public health expert and former National Health Officer for the YMCA. He earned his bachelor's degree from Kalamazoo College and his M.D. and M.P.H. from Tulane University.
