Matthew Martinez

Matthew Martinez is a Democratic Representative for District 62 in the Colorado General Assembly, currently serving as a Majority Co-Whip. An alumnus of Adams State University, his professional background includes higher education and working as a University Prison College Program Director. He is Vice Chair of the Education Committee and also serves on the Agriculture, Water & Natural Resources and Legislative Council committees. Martinez has sponsored multiple bills, including those focused on expanding effective public schools and regulating lawful THC beverages. His candidate committee aims to elect him to the Colorado House of Representatives, representing counties such as Alamosa, Conejos, Costilla, Huerfano, Mineral, Pueblo, Rio Grande, and Saguache.
