Matthew "Skeeter" Abbott is a two-decade Pasco County public servant who has served as Pasco County Mosquito Control Commissioner (Seat 2) since 2007, including as chairman of the Mosquito Control Board and as a commissioner of the Florida and American Mosquito Control Associations. He is a Real Estate Broker Associate with RE/MAX Alliance Group in Trinity and spent more than 20 years in regional outreach and leadership roles with Kodak and DuPont. He holds an associate's degree from Pasco-Hernando State College, was born in the Florida Keys, and has been a Nature Coast resident for over 45 years; he is a father of four, and his twin brother served as Mayor of Port Richey.
