Matty Mathews Alappat has a recorded position on four issues. Each is Matty Mathews Alappat's own wording, written on their Civoren profile.
A strong local economy benefits everyone. We should keep working to bring in new shops and restaurants, and make better use of empty storefronts. We also need to support the businesses that are already here by making it easier to do business in Antioch. That means reducing unnecessary delays in getting permits and approvals. As Antioch grows, that growth should bring more jobs, services, and opportunities for residents.

Every unhoused person's situation is different. We should work with trained social workers and other service providers to understand the challenges each person is facing, and connect them with the right help. During that time, temporary shelter can provide a safe place to stay, food, and access to services. The goal should be to help people overcome these challenges and become stable and self-sufficient.
