Maureen Duffy-Lewis is a candidate for Judge of the Superior Court Office No. 191 in Los Angeles County, California — 2026 Primary Election. Running as Nonpartisan.

Maureen Duffy-Lewis has served as a judge for the Los Angeles Superior Court since her appointment in 1987 by Governor George Deukmejian. Her current term is set to end on January 4, 2027. Before becoming a judge, she was a Deputy District Attorney and a private attorney, having conducted over 100 trials. She also has a background as an elementary school teacher. Judge Duffy-Lewis earned her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Southern California and her Juris Doctor from Loyola Law School. Since 2004, she has been assigned to the Stanley Mosk Central Civil Courthouse, where she manages a caseload of approximately 450-500 complex civil cases at any given time, including matters of employment, medical malpractice, and intellectual property. She is a two-time recipient of the Fulbright Award and has taught law, mediation, and ethics in Sofia, Bulgaria, where she assisted in establishing court-related mediation programs.
