Maya Morales

Maya Morales currently serves as an elected Whatcom County Charter Review Commissioner for District 2. She is a progressive organizer and legislative advocate who was involved in the passage of the 2023 My Health My Data Act. In 2021, she founded WA People's Privacy to advocate for tech justice and data privacy. Morales has also worked with the WA Low Income Housing Alliance. She holds a bachelor's degree in fine art and women's studies from the University of California at Santa Cruz and a master's degree in teaching English to speakers of other languages from the School for International Training Graduate Institute.
