Megan C Blanksma

Megan C. Blanksma is a Republican candidate seeking election to the Idaho State Senate in District 8 for the May 2026 primary. A native of Nampa, Idaho, and an economics graduate from the University of Idaho, she has been involved in farming in the Hammett Valley for over two decades. Blanksma previously served eight years in the Idaho House of Representatives, including leadership roles as House Majority Caucus Chair and House Majority Leader. Her campaign prioritizes fiscal policy, rural issues related to agriculture, and socially conservative policies, aligning with her affiliation with Idaho Chooses Life. She has been active in Republican Party politics since her teenage years.
