Melanie Macey is an attorney, former Royal Oak City Commissioner, and public interest lawyer. She holds a bachelor's degree from Haverford College and a law degree from the University of Michigan Law School. Macey has spent her career working in legal aid, serving disadvantaged clients across southeast Michigan. She is currently running as a Democratic candidate for the Michigan House of Representatives District 6 in the 2026 election.
