Melanie Mankamyer

Melanie Mankamyer was appointed as Port Commissioner for District 2 in November 2024, following the passing of the previous commissioner. She is the first female commissioner in the port's history. Mankamyer is a retired Professional Engineer and former partner at Wilson Engineering, with 28 years of experience in civil engineering, public works projects, capital improvement plans, and budgeting. She earned a Bachelor's degree from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo in 1984 and a graduate degree from the University of California, Irvine in 1995. Her community involvement includes serving on the Washington Association of Sewer and Water Districts board and volunteering with Habitat for Humanity.
